About Me

I am an Accounting & Finance fresh graduate from Lancaster University, currently completing my internship as a Summer Analyst at a Venture Capital firm in KL by 1st of November 2019. From then on, I will be unemployed and living on my very limited savings for the next 6 months, focusing to learn coding full time to transition into job as a full-stack developer! Therefore, getting to be part of Re.code's bootcamp will mean a lot to me.

As far back as I can remember, there is nothing that has excited me more than tech and business. From running my a small business at university to working in the industry, I have realised that I am really inspired by how techies using technology to simplify things and make life better for others.

I love to serve people and make a difference! I am eager to acquire invaluable knowledge at Re.code and appreciate Re.code’s commitment to serving the evolving needs of the marginalised community in Malaysia and addressing the rising demand for tech developers.

I believe in hard work and enthusiasm in everything we decide to do in life. I have demonstrated this both in my working life and university, achieving a First Class Honours in my bachelors degree, holding key executive positions as Student Venture Capitalist for Campus Capital, to being a Business Analyst for BRITA UK, Fund Analyst for LU Ghosal Investment Fund and Lancaster's representative to the IBM University Business Challenge 2018/2019, I have developed my leadership, teamwork, critical-thinking and interpersonal skills in dealing with competitive projects and with people from all walks of life. Even for this website, I have taken the initiative to stay up late after work hours to try my best to figure out HTML CSS from scratch and referring to StackOverflow answers when I got stuck. I have struggled a lot and I know there will be a lot more for me to learn, but I really look forward to being good at this!

My involvements with various startups and techies inspired me so much to work towards the goal of being tech-literate and a full-stack developer myself! This is why I decided to learn Web Development at Re.code, to make the most out of the rapid advancement of technology when I still can!

I have always been aware about the refugee unemployment crisis in Malaysia and all around the world, and I truly look forward to get to know the refugee community in Malaysia better and connect with them at a more personal level!

Finally, I am a strong advocate for peer-assisted learning & free education. I am sure with the skills gained from this bootcamp I will definitely move on to helping those in need without expecting anything in return!
